New Fall Classes

The Bazaar Clay Workshop, a communal effort of members and friends, is scheduled for Sep 22 and Oct 6 at 11am in the WC King Building on Fisher Street.  This is an opportunity to play and have fun together while making small clay pieces to sell at our Christmas Bazaar. All proceeds will benefit the gallery. [One year we made soap dishes]

Acrylic Techniques
$50 each class
In this class we will create abstract picture art with acrylic paint and additives such as sand paper and other materials. At CASG.

Introduction to Hand Built Clay Objects:  Creating Birdhouses. 
$75 for 3 classes  
Three 3-hour classes (4 to 10 adults) will make a birdhouse using coils and slabs. The birdhouse will be functional and will never need painting! First two sessions will focus on object creation and the third, two weeks later, will allow students to glaze their dried and fired pieces. Classes: Wednesdays 10am-12 noon Oct 19, 26, and Nov 9 Lorraine McElroy

Introducing Children to Hand Build Clay Objects. ( Beginner Clay) $60 for 3 classes  
Three 2-hour classes will show young students (ages 7 to 15) how to make a clay mask and a simple bowl using coils and slabs. Both pieces will be fired at an earthenware temperature and will be food friendly. First two sessions will focus on object creation; the third, two weeks later, will allow students to glaze dried and fired pieces. 
Saturdays 10 am-12 noon
October 22, 29 and November 19.

Janet Harriman & Lisa Nelson Bronze/Silver Metal Clay Jewelry: These are the only metal clay classes that we will hold this year. Please register at least 1 week prior to class. Cost is $170.00 (plus supplies) per weekend. A deposit equal to one half of the class, ($85.00) is due upon registering. All levels are learning are welcome.

Location: Nelson Studio 1112 Hammock Lane/ Beaufort, NC.
Time: 10 AM-5PM on Saturdays and 12 Noon-5PM on Sundays.
