Nancy holds a graduate degree in African History and Art History from UCLA. Her field work was done along West Africa’s Central Guinea coast with a secondary concentration in the Diaspora, particularly the Caribbean. Much of her art, which leans toward the decorative and narrative, reflects and references these influences. Nancy enjoys designing recycled and repurposed jewelry as well. In the last few years, she has been working primarily in mixed media with digitally imaged components, but is currently moving back toward incorporating more drawings, more original acrylic and oil work.O'Doul's Bottle Cap Earrings

. This was one of the works resulting from a really enjoyable acrylic workshop with Kathleen Dentinger. I heartily recommend her workshops. Kathleen introduced me to new techniques---and it was fun as well. Alot of the detail is lost in this little jpg, most of the depth and texure!
