"A BFA in Illustration from Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, PA
launched my career as a technical illustrator for a major defense contractor in Baltimore, MD. Then after further enhancing my skills with a MA in Publi-cations Design from the University of Baltimore, I spent the majority of my professional career planning and overseeing the design and production of presentations, brochures, and marketing display panels. Finally in the fall of 1999, I hung up my T-square and triangle moved with my husband to eastern NC. At last, I have the time and opportunity to devote to fine arts painting. After years of creating pains-takingly accurate representations of products and technologies, it has been quite a pleasure to paint sub-jects that I enjoy, placing my emphasis on color and design.
"Because they enable spontaneity and fresh-ness, I have chosen
water-based paints as media for expression. With these media and my choice of subject matter, I have attempted to capture the flavor of North Carolina in my paintings."
