"Hailing from Virginia, I came to NC to enjoy the ocean and a slower pace of life. Retiring from a fast paced career, it is time to begin the second portion of my life as a full-time artist. I have painted with oils since early adolescence, always feeling this was my first love. I am self-taught with some lessons in my spare time. Color, movement, texture and perspective, these catch my eye first in life. These are what I try to portray in my paintings. It is always a pleasure to create a painting with a little surprise as well.
