"I make many different kinds of art and seem to need the variety. Living on the marsh and intercoastal thrills me every day. I like to laugh and wish I were more organized and disciplined."

Understanding the Miraculous

"In my art I am particularly dreawn to whimsy and the sacred, nature, unlikely combinagtions and the beauty in the 'ugly' transforming the old into the new and huntingh for the essence. I like to work intuitively and enjoy the surprise of what unfolds. I learn about myself and my relationship to the world through my art.

"Red Collage"
"I have taken photo-graphs since the time of the small b/w prints with wavy edges. I now shoot digitally and do most of my own archival printing. Photography for me is about showing up, notic-ing and being ready. I take pictures of things out of context, very close up or in odd juxtapositions in order to see them anew.
"I create 2 and 3-dimen-sional mixed media art using paper, paint, watercolors, pastels, fabric, fiber and anything else that works. I fell in love with mixed media and collage in art school. I like to mix things: words, cereals, images, materials, processes and styles. As a fiber artist, I spin non-traditional yarn, felt, sew and do freeform crochet, I create one of a kind accessories and collaged garments.
I became obsessed with art while living in Paris in 1962. I went on to the School of Visual Art in NYC and was graduated from NYU. I later finished two masters degrees, one in art and one in counseling. I have shown my work in galleries and juried shows on both coasts.
